DESCRIPTION OF EXTREMA RATIO 39-09 COMBAT KNIFE

The result of a project sponsored by COFS (the inter-force operations command for Italian special forces) and its former Commander-in-chief, Gen. Bertolini – not to mention advocated for by knife collectors worldwide – our 39-09 combat knife is a restyling of the Model 1939 “parachutists assaltatore” (assault paratrooper) combat knife, a celebrated piece of Italian military history. While preserving the original shape, structure and proportions, we managed to reinforce, add increased functionality, and manufacture this knife to contemporary military specifications from up-to-date materials. In fact, small changes make it a highly effective, dependable dagger. The included hard sheath is also designed to be worn at the ankle, in the characteristic fashion of Italian paratroopers. Moreover, the version 39-09 COMBAT is the compact version with 160mm blade and thigh sheath.
