Description

The BT1701B Shogun Knife is an excellent folding design from BESTECH Knives. This gorgeous knife features a 3.75″ drop point blade made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. The blade’s design and size make it an ideal tactical folder, while the buttery smooth action encourages everyday carry.

The knife rides on ceramic ball bearings, providing smooth operation, and the lockup is nice and tight for safety. The ergonomic handle is crafted from milled 6AL4V titanium with a striking blue finish, ensuring a comfortable and secure grip. The handle’s shape locks it into your hand, and the thumb ramp is perfectly executed for comfortable extended cutting tasks.

Additionally, the pocket clip and backspacer are made from 6AL4V titanium to ensure maximum quality assurance. About CPM-S35VN Stainless Steel

CPM-S35VN is a martensitic stainless steel designed to offer improved toughness over CPM-S30V. It is easier to machine and polish than CPM-S30V due to its rebalanced chemistry, which forms some niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. By substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides, CPM-S35VN is about 15-20% tougher than CPM-S30V without any loss of wear resistance. This improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping, and both vanadium and niobium carbides are harder and more effective than chromium carbides in providing wear resistance. Consequently, CPM stainless blade steels offer improved edge retention over conventional high chromium steels such as 440C and D2.
