The Umarex Airem 2 Break Barrel Air Rifle is a budget-friendly package for shooters looking for a dependable choice with options not typically found at this price level. Capable of velocities up to 1200 FPS, and with upgraded technology compared to the older model, it offers features that make it well-suited to plinking and controlling small pests.

This air rifle utilizes a TNT nitrogen piston, which is a type of gas spring that offers the user advantages over a traditional spring-piston powerplant, such as smoother and quieter operation, lower recoil, and consistent operation despite low temperatures. In addition, a nitrogen piston lasts longer and is not susceptible to spring fatigue, and leaving it cocked for long periods does not result in damage to the airgun.

The Airem 2 solves a problem common to many spring air rifles by using the Nucleus integrated rail platform system to nearly eliminate vibration and movement that translate to scope movement. It also has a fiber optic front sight and a fiber optic rear sight, in addition to the Picatinny optics rail that is part of the Nucleus rail system.
