The Civivi Tamashii G10 Black Handle – C19046-1 blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough tool steel that retains its sharpness well. It’s also easy to sharpen, which is handy if you use the knife often. Do, however, be careful with rust: D2 is not completely stainless. So clean the knife after use, especially when (fruit)acids, salt, or moisture come into contact with the knife.
The construction of the handle is also worth mentioning. It is made from G10. Instead of adding scales against the tang of the blade, the scales fall around the tang. As such you won’t come in contact with the blade, which is great in very cold circumstances. You can carry the Tamashii in the included Kydex sheath. With the belt clip, you can decide how to carry the knife.
